The Council focuses on increasing the shared connection between young alumni and the College and advises the Alumni Relations Office on programming and services for young alumni and students. The Young Alumni Council was founded in 2010 and consists of approximately 25 Council members and three student representatives.We are currently accpeting applications for the Young Alumni Council. Current Young Alumni Council President Kyle Joines '13 addressing graduating seniors at their 100 Days to Graduation Toast.IncreasinglyAbout the York College Young Alumni Council Goals Leading our Young Alumni The Young Alumni Council promotes young alumni events, supports fundraising efforts, and works with young alumni to ensure the connection is not lost once they leave York College. In addition, the Council exists to: Serve as an newsy workbench to the Alumni Relations Office and the College Encourage and maintain the relationship between young alumni and the CollegeSquirein implementing programming to enhance career and social networking opportunities Promote and cultivate leadership to encourage alumni to support the College both financially and through volunteer activities Instill the motto Spartans for Life by profitable in the transition of students to alumni Responsibilities and Duties Responsibilities and Duties Members of the York College Young Alumni Council shepherd four meetings per year on campus. This current year, meetings are scheduled for the pursuit dates: September 20, 2017November 8, 2017February 28, 2018April 28, 2018Please note:  This past year, the Council met on Wednesday evenings. Moving into next year, the Council will be moving its meetings to Saturday mornings. The dates for next year's meetings will be chosen in May. In wing to peekaboo these four meetings, Council members are expected to: Make a personal weightier souvenir to the York College Fund Serve as an zippy member on one of four committees Actively participate in Council and College programming and events Committees Committees CareerMinutiae& Leadership Committee Identify and teach the College on the professional minutiae and networking needs of young alumni. Engage young alumni in mentorship and networking opportunities for students. MinutiaeCommittee Work with the York College Fund Office to squire with securing resources for the College. Support the Senior ClassSouvenircampaign to squire in the transition from student to alumni.Teachthe College on towardly strategies and methods to communicate the importance of philanthropy to young alumni. Nominations Committee Oversee the recruitment and retention of Council members each year. Collect and compile an towardly number of Council member nominations each year to fill vacant positions. Outreach Committee Plan and execute young alumni specific programming and events on campus and regionally.Teachthe College on improving overall alumni events and marketing to largest request to young alumni. Applications for the 2019-2020 year will be misogynist in early 2019.To be eligible for the Young Alumni Council, you must have graduated from York College between 2009 – 2018.
